Roberta Anderson-Oeser, MD

Roberta Anderson-Oeser, MD

Roberta Anderson-Oeser, MD, is a 1994 graduate of the University of Kansas, School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas and she received her board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1995.

Dr. Anderson-Oeser’s outpatient practice consists of the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, including work-related and non-work-related injuries. She specializes in musculo-skeletal conditions, EMG/NCS, nerve blocks, interventional lumbar spine injections, interarticular joint injections, trigger point injections and pain management. Dr. Oeser uses her 20+ years of experience to better understand and treat complex injuries.

Dr. Anderson-Oeser takes the time with every patient to ensure she fully understands the injury as well as to ensure she fully knows and understand the person. She approaches every patient with care and compassion.

Dr. Anderson-Oeser is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation.

D. William Boyd, Ph.D.

D. William Boyd, Ph.D.

William Boyd, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and is board certified in neuropsychology. He specializes in neuropsychology, health psychology, pain psychology, and rehabilitation psychology and he has over 30 years of experience in these fields.

Dr. Boyd is well published and is the author of the book Post-Concussion Syndrome: An Evidence Based Approach. In addition to psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, Dr. Boyd provides cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy to help patients’ recover to their pre-injury status.

Dr. Boyd is a fellow of the American College of Professional Neuropsychologist and is a professional member of the American Psychological Association. He is a Clinical Affiliate of the Graduate School of Professional Psychology for the University of Denver. Dr. Boyd has a passion for music and plays trumpet or bass with local bands and orchestras.

Dr. Lane Bunker

Dr. Bunker is a 1986 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic – West and is licensed in Colorado and California. He has practiced in Colorado since 1987, and offers 29 years of experience in the treatment of Workers’ Compensation injuries, Automobile injuries and Sports injuries.

Dr. Bunker utilizes an active functional sports medicine approach for the diagnosis and treatment of musculo-skeletal injuries. His spinal care programs are based on scientific evidence, incorporating the latest proven theories, Manipulation/Adjustment techniques, Trigger Point Dry Needling and Active Spinal Rehabilitation Conditioning. Dr. Bunker is a Certified Injury Prevention Specialist, a Certified Biomedical Integrative Dry Needling Practitioner and is a Board-eligible Chiropractic Sports Physician.

Dr. Bunker works with Medical Doctors (Primary Care and Specialists), Chiropractic Doctors, Physical Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Clinical Physiologists and Neuro-Psychologists. Dr. Bunker was the co-founder and Director of Dynamic Motion Rehabilitation; a functional spinal rehabilitation clinic.

Dr. Bunker has served as a PIP Examiner for the Colorado Division of Insurance and as a Claims Reviewer for the Insurance industry. He is a member of the Colorado Spine Physicians Association and the Colorado Chiropractic Association. He is Level I Accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation.

Dr. Conforti

D. Brooks Conforti, D.O.

D. Brooks Conforti, D.O., is a practicing member of Ascent Medical Consultants, LLC. Her practice focuses on osteopathic evaluation and treatment of patients with acute and chronic conditions. She has been in practice in the greater Denver area since 1994. Dr. Conforti completed her training at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa.

She completed her internship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan and participated in two residency programs specializing in Surgery and Anesthesia. Later, Dr. Conforti spent time at both the Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York, as well as at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where she completed her post-graduate fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia.

Dr. Conforti served in the United States Navy as Senior Corpsman on a Surgical Unit and headed the Stat Laboratory at Bethesda Naval Hospital. She belongs to many organizations including the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Osteopathy, and she is Board Certified in Neuromuscular Medicine. She is particularly interested in sports-related injuries and is an active participant in equine events, long distance running and yoga. Dr. Conforti compassionately treats both work related and non-work related injuries.

Dr. Conforti is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation.

Ed Cotgageorge, PhD, ABN

Ed Cotgageorge, PhD, ABN

Ed Cotgageorge, PhD, ABN is a board certified neuropsychologist specializing in neuropsychology, pain and rehabilitation psychology. Has been practicing in Colorado since 1994.

Neuropsychological services provision includes evaluation of traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions, pre-surgical psychological evaluation for spine surgery and spinal cord stimulator implants, as well as psychological evaluation for treatment planning. Behavioral health services include Cognitive-Behavioral psychotherapy and biofeedback for individuals who have sustained traumatic brain injuries, back and spine concerns and other work related injuries.

He is a fellow of the American College of Professional Neuropsychology and a professional member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.

Sharon Day

Sharon Day, P.T, BHSc., BSc., BCN

Sharon is a Licensed Biofeedback/Neurofeedback Therapist. She has a BS in Psychology and in Physics and she has a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University, Ontario Canada. While at McMaster, Sharon studied under Dr. David Sackett, the father of Evidence Based Medicine and Dr. John Basmajian, a pioneer in biofeedback.

Sharon started practicing medicine in 1988. Over the years, she has worked with patients of all ages, both in Orthopedics and Neurology. She has a passion for using Biofeedback/Neurofeedback to measure and help patients become aware of what is happening in their body and their brain. “It is extremely rewarding to watch patients learn to calm muscles and regulate their bodies and minds to reduce pain and regain function.”

Sharon loves collaborating with a medical team where the benefits and insights of each practitioner come together to promote patient health.

Dr. Drapeau

Katherine Drapeau, D.O. 

Dr. Drapeau received her undergraduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder and her doctorate from Des Moines University in Iowa. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Rocky Mountain Osteopathic Hospital in Denver and has over 30 years of experience servicing the Denver-Metro community, providing Occupational Medicine services to the North Denver community for the last 5 years.

Dr. Drapeau is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation.

Lisa Galterio RMT

Lisa is a clinical massage therapist who received her training from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2010. She studied an integrative neuromuscular approach to massage that included training in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and Zen shiatsu.  She has worked with a wide variety of populations including patients with chronic pain conditions, professional athletes, and people seeking to improve their well-being through regular bodywork.

Lisa believes that treatment oriented massage is an important part of a rehabilitation plan. She enjoys working with the team at Ascent.  Her style is specific, which allows a more gentle approach to be used with patients who suffer from chronic pain.

Lisa has a B.A. in Outdoor Education and Human Development and is also trained in pre-natal massage.

Ryan Mansholt, PA-C

Ryan Mansholt, PA-C

Ryan Mansholt is a Board Certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Pain Management. He received an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Illinois State University, and went on to study Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology at the Sports University of Cardiff Wales. He then received a Master’s of Science from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

Ryan has over eight years of experience working in sports medicine, orthopedics and chronic pain management. He prides himself in his patient education skills, and he believes in treating the entire person, not just the affected body part.

Brian Mathwich MD, MBA

Dr. Mathwich received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New Mexico and an MBA in health care administration from Regis University. He has over 20 years’ experience treating injured workers, performing IMEs and providing employers with a level of communication which exceeds expectations.

Dr. Mathwich looks forward to working in the North Denver community assisting injured workers and employers by providing outstanding medical care and unsurpassed communications.

Dr. Mathwich is Level II accredited through the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation.

Eric Shoemaker

Eric Shoemaker, DO

Dr. Shoemaker is a Colorado native. He grew up in Denver and completed his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University. After graduating from medical school with highest honors and scoring in the 96th% on his national boards Dr. Shoemaker completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the University of Colorado. He went on to complete a fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at Washington University in St. Louis; a nationally renowned program and one of only a small number of ACGME accredited fellowships of its kind.

Dr. Shoemaker is board-certified in sports medicine as well as PM&R. He has advanced training in interventional spine medicine and procedures, diagnostic ultrasound, ultrasound guided procedures and electrodiagnostic (EMG/NCV) testing. He is passionate about providing high quality patient care. With his excellent training and years of clinical experience Dr. Shoemaker utilizes his broad and multifaceted skill set, combined with his enthusiastic demeanor to bring about positive outcomes and effective treatment

Dr. Swenson is a 1995 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic and is currently licensed in Colorado and Minnesota. She has practiced in Texas, Nevada, Minnesota, and Colorado and offers 22 years of experience in the treatment of work related injuries, automobile injuries, and numerous health related issues. She has completed additional certification in Pregnancy, Pre and Post Natal care, Nutrition, Sports Training and Therapy.

Dr. Swenson utilizes a thorough, caring, and functional medicine approach for the diagnosis and treatment of these injuries and health related issues. She administers the latest techniques and proven science based evidence to form a complete and personalized treatment program to optimize healing results. Jennifer Wick

Jennifer Wick - RMT

Jennifer Wick, RMT is a clinical massage therapist who specializes in treating musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain. Jen started her training in New York, followed by a mentorship at The North Carolina School of Advanced Bodywork in Asheville. Her training is primarily a blend of neuromuscular and structural balancing. Jen has studied myoskeletal alignment technique and has taken numerous classes in medical massage.

For several years, Jen owned a private practice in Lafayette, CO, where she worked with many chronic pain conditions. She has been specifically sought out for her detailed, focused neck work. Trained to work with doctors, Jen feels strongly that her skills are best utilized as part of a specialized team.

Jen has a Master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology. She understands pain from her own experience and practices a less pain equals more gain approach.
